Simeon Shaffar
Simeon is a current Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, which has led to him needing to learn all the way through Multivariable Calculus and Differential Equations in his studies.
One day, mid COVID lockdown during his Calculus 1 class, he got frustrated enough with the zoom lecture that he flipped to a new page, and started writing down everything about the curriculum that didn’t make sense.
A year later, as he sat on the same Nantucket beach pictured here, he realized his notes could be made into a business idea, and Xygos was born.
Aidan Toney
Aidan has known Simeon since 7th grade, where they attended the same small school in a class of 20.
He is currently at the University of Wisconsin, Madison studying Computer Science.
At the very dawn of the idea behind Xygos, Simeon and Aidan sat down and discussed the feasibility of the idea. After that conversation, Xygos began turning into a prototype.
Aidan built the parsing system behind Xygos, and is the reason why the Xygos algorithm can handle any equation you throw at it.
